The District English Teacher Training Programme orginsed by the Rotary Clubs of Colombo Millenium City and Ratnapura was held from 27-29 August, 2008. Rotary Clubs nominated the 30 English Teachers to benefit from this well organised residential training programme. Rtn. PP. As discussed at PETS/SETS, ensuring a presentable web-solution will be a great advantage to our Clubs/ District. A user friendly web-solution that includes unlimited server space/ initial site designing, setting up & training/ publishing & running newsletters, birthdays, anniversaries / member access etc. has been sourced. Cost :
· Web space cost – Rs.12,600/- per Club (a One time payment)
· Yearly hosting charges - Rs.1,800/- per Club (2nd year onwards)

Special TRF Seminar for District/Club Leaders
The Rotary Foundation - 2nd Level Training Meet & Stewardship Seminar for District Leaders will be held on 10 August at 9.00a.m. at Excelworld, Colombo. Cost: Rs.900/- with lunch. DGE, DGN, Asst. Governor's, District TRF Committee Members should attend. Clubs that are doing/ planning to do Matching Grants too may attend.

Club - Semi Annual Report Form / RI Dues
The Semi Annual Reports requesting Clubs to pay their Dues has been received from RI and were sent to the Clubs. Only the names of members admitted before 1 July, 2008 should be included. Inductions from 1st July onwards need to be reported only after this SAR period.
The below is payable for each Active Member (US$1.00 = Rs.108/-)
Annual RI Per Capita Dues - US$48.00 (US$24.00 payable half yearly)
Subscription to The Rotarian - US$24.00 (US$2.00 x 6 per half year)
Towards defraying the cost of the Council on Legislation - US$1.00
Seperately: Annual District Dues at Rs.600/- per member.

District Citation Goals for individual Clubs:
1. Achieve the RI Presidential citation
2. Representation of the Club Officers (President, Vice President, Pres. Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, etc.) and the Club Chairman (Club Administration, Membership, Service Projects, The Rotary Foundation & Public Relations) at the District Assembly. If at least 10 members could not attend the Dist. Assembly then the shortfall could be made-up by your members attending the various District Seminars (Membership, TRF, Service Projects, District Leadership seminar, etc.)
3. Achieve the net Membership growth target given by the Club
4. Achieve TRF - Annual Program Fund Goal given by the Club
5. At least 30% of the Club Members to be recipients of the "Special Citation for Individual Rotarians"
6. Minimum 40% of Club members to register for the Dist. Conference
