THANK YOU for the wonderful programme of Rotary you made possible during this Rotary year 2008-09. "In Dreams there are no impossibilities" and TOGETHER we did help "Make Dreams Real".
Clubs that could not contribute to TRF, kindly do so by 30 June to the Fiscal Agent - PDG Krish. Only cash payments will be credited for this Rotary year as cheques may take a day or two to realize.
Clubs that have not updated the Membership list with the names of the new members inducted in the last month or two should do so through member access. Click on http://www.rotary.org/

Tweet the 2009 RI Convention

Rotary 2009-10: District Membership Seminar

The District Membership Seminar for the Rotary year 2009-10 will be held on Sunday, 14th June 2009, from 9.00a.m. to 1.00p.m. at ExcelWorld, Colombo 10, followed with lunch. The Seminar is open to all Rotarians interested. Registration cost - Rs.1,000/-.
PURPOSE OF THE DISTRICT MEMBERSHIP SEMINAR: Rotary Int'l requires a growing and sustainable membership base in order to meet the increasing need for volunteer services throughout the world and to secure the future of each Rotary Club. The seminar will support Club & District efforts to sustain and increase their membership base.

Rotary Sri Lanka - IDP Aid Programme

Upholding the RI Theme for 2008-09, dedicated Rotarians have been working tirelessly to "Make Dreams Real" for those most in need.
The RI Dist. 3220, Sri Lanka project to help the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the aftermath of the near 30 year conflict, termed the "Rotary Sri Lanka IDP Aid" programme, has gathered further momentum. Already 400+ ShelterBoxes have been provided to set-up a "Model Village" with water, sanitation, cooking facilities etc. too being installed. "Special Citation for Individual Rotarians"

Every Rotarian who supports the Club, District & Rotary International by achieving at least 5 of the 7 below mentioned Goals by 30 June, 2009 will receive a special citation from DG Nalin Fernando:

Achieve a minimum of 5 Goals:
1. Introduce at least 1 new member to Rotary
2. Contribute US$100 or more to The Rotary Foundation - APF
3. Be an active committee member of a successful Service project
4. Maintain an attendance average of over 70% (including make-ups)
5. Attend a District event/seminar or Register for the RI Convention
6. Attend and experience at least 4 other Rotary Club meetings
7. Give US$120 to the Dist. Rotary Centre Fund/Dist. Service activity

Except for the District Assembly & Membership seminar (held on 4 May & 1 June, 2008) the rest of the goals should be achieved during Rotary 2008-09.
Only Members of "Good Standing" (having paid all Dues & with at least 50% attendance) will receive this Special Citation. Individual achievers will be recognised with a "Special Certificate/ Citation".

Rotary 2008-09: 100, 200, 300 & 400

Though it has been globally a most challenging and difficult time, thanks to the great efforts of the individual Rotary Clubs, our RI District 3220 has made remarkable progress towards achieving the Targets set collectively for Rotary 2008-09. "In dreams there are no impossibilities" and together we can "Make Dreams Real".
